  # AWS Cross Integration Setup

Follow the steps below to connect your AWS account with Zero-X.

  ## Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  * Access to your AWS account with permission to create CloudFormation stacks.
  * Access to your Zero-X account.
  * The required AWS region selected for the integration.

  ## Step 1: Download the CloudFormation Template

Download the CloudFormation template from Zero-X.

The template is used to create the necessary IAM Role required for the AWS Cross Integration.

  > **Note:** Keep the downloaded CloudFormation template available for the next step.

  ## Step 2: Create a CloudFormation Stack

  1. Sign in to your AWS account.
  2. Open **CloudFormation**.
  3. Create a new CloudFormation stack.
  4. Upload or select the CloudFormation template downloaded from Zero-X.
  5. Follow the AWS CloudFormation steps to create the stack.

The stack will create the IAM Role required by Zero-X.

  ## Step 3: Generate External ID

Generate the **External ID** from Zero-X.

Copy the generated External ID and paste it into the CloudFormation stack's **ExternalId** parameter.

  > **Important:** The External ID entered in AWS must exactly match the External ID generated by Zero-X.

  ## Step 4: Copy the Role ARN

After the CloudFormation stack is successfully created:

  1. Open the **Outputs** tab of the CloudFormation stack.
  2. Locate the generated **Role ARN**.
  3. Copy the Role ARN.
  4. Return to Zero-X and paste the Role ARN into the AWS Cross Integration setup.
</Accordion>

7. Select the AWS **Region** in Zero-X.
