  # Bitdefender GravityZone Integration – Credential Setup Guide

Zero-X requires an **API key** from Bitdefender GravityZone. The **Access URL** is optional. If it is not provided, Zero-X uses the default URL:

Both values are generated or found in the GravityZone Control Center.

  ## 1. Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure that you have:

  * A **Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud** account with access to the Control Center.
  * A GravityZone user with permission to manage the company and its network. A company administrator is recommended.
  * Access to the API key settings.

  > **Important:** An API key can access only the data and actions permitted to the GravityZone user who created it.

  ## 2. Generate an API Key in GravityZone

  1. Sign in to the [GravityZone Control Center](https://cloud.gravityzone.bitdefender.com).
  2. Select your **username** in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose **My Account**.
  4. Scroll to the **API keys** section.
  5. Select **Add**.
  6. Enter a description, such as `Zero-X integration`.
  7. Enable the APIs required by Zero-X.

  ### Required API Permissions

  | API | Requirement | Purpose |
  | - | - | - |
  | **Companies** | Required | Zero-X calls `getCompanyDetails` to validate the key and retrieve the company ID. |
  | **Network** | Required | Zero-X calls `getEndpointsList` to retrieve endpoint inventory and count endpoints. |
  | **Policies** | Optional | Enable only if the Zero-X scanner needs policy data. |
  | **Reports** | Optional | Enable only if the Zero-X scanner needs report data. |
  | **Incidents** | Optional | Enable only if the Zero-X scanner needs incident data. |

Follow the **least-privilege principle** by enabling only the APIs required by Zero-X. Leave all other APIs disabled unless explicitly needed.

  8. Select **Save**.
  9. Copy the generated API key immediately and store it securely in an approved password manager or secrets vault.

  > **Important:** GravityZone displays the API key only once. If you lose it, delete the existing key and generate a replacement.

  ## 3. Find the Access URL

  1. Return to **My Account**.
  2. Locate the **API keys** section.
  3. Find the **Access URL** displayed under the API keys list.
  4. Copy the URL exactly as shown for your GravityZone region or console.

  **Example:**

The Access URL is optional in Zero-X. If you leave it blank, Zero-X uses the default URL above. If your GravityZone console displays a different URL, use that exact value.

  ## 4. Configure Zero-X

Open the Bitdefender GravityZone integration configuration in Zero-X and enter the following details:

  | Field | Value | Required |
  | - | - | :-: |
  | API Key | The API key generated in GravityZone | Yes |
  | Access URL | The Access URL displayed in GravityZone | No |

  1. Enter the API key.
  2. Enter the Access URL if your environment requires a custom URL.
  3. Save the integration configuration.
  4. Run the available integration validation or scan in Zero-X.
  5. Verify that the integration connects successfully and endpoint inventory is retrieved.
</Accordion>

6. Click **Verify** to validate the provided Bitdefender details.

7. After successful verification, click **Connect**.
