Connect GCP Project

Follow these simple steps to complete the setup modal and securely input your GCP project details and JSON key.

1. Create a GCP Project

Create a new Google Cloud Project or select an existing project that you want to integrate with Zero-X.

2. Create a Service Account

  1. In the Google Cloud Console, navigate to IAM & Admin → Service Accounts.
  2. Create a Service Account with Viewer (or the required read-only) permissions.
  3. Ensure the account has access to the resources you want Zero-X to analyze.

3. Generate Service Account JSON Key

  1. Open the created Service Account.
  2. Go to the Keys tab.
  3. Click Add Key → Create New Key.
  4. Select JSON.
  5. Download the generated Service Account JSON key securely.

4. Configure Zero-X

  1. In the Connect GCP Project screen, enter the Data Source Name and select the Environment.
  2. Enter the GCP Project ID.
  3. Select one or more GCP Regions.
  4. Paste the downloaded Service Account JSON into the provided text area.

5. Complete Setup

Click Verify Integration. If the credentials and project details are valid, the integration will be verified successfully.Click Connect to complete the GCP integration. Your GCP project will be available for cloud security analysis.

1. Project Configuration

General information about this data source:
  1. Data Source Name: Enter a clear, descriptive name (e.g., Production-GCP, Analytics-GCP).
  2. Environment: Click the dropdown menu and select the environment type (e.g., Production, Staging, Development).

2. Credentials & Scope

Provide your GCP project details and service account key:
  • GCP Project ID: Enter your unique GCP Project ID (e.g., my-gcp-project-12345).
  • GCP Regions: Select the primary region(s) where your GCP resources are located (e.g., us-central1, europe-west1).
  • Service Account JSON: Paste the full JSON contents of your GCP Service Account Key file. Ensure the service account has the necessary permissions.

3. Verify & Finalize

  • Click the Verify Integration button at the bottom right to test the connection and complete the setup.
