Connect GitHub Repositories

Follow these simple steps to install the GitHub App for your organization and select the repositories you want to monitor.
Zero-X for Client

1. Open GitHub Repository Integration

Navigate to Connect GitHub Repositories. The system displays the repositories that are accessible through the configured GitHub App.

2. Configure GitHub App (If Required)

If the GitHub App is not installed, the following message is displayed:
GitHub App is not installed for your organization.
Click Configure GitHub App. This redirects you to GitHub to:
  1. Install the Zero-X GitHub App.
  2. Select your GitHub organization or personal account.
  3. Choose the repositories to grant access.
  4. Complete the installation.

3. Search Repositories

Use the search box to quickly locate repositories by name.

4. Select Repositories

Choose one or more repositories that you want Zero-X to monitor.Note: Only repositories authorized through the GitHub App are displayed.

5. Connect

Click Connect. Zero-X validates:
  • GitHub App installation
  • Repository access
  • Repository permissions
After successful validation, the selected repositories are connected and ready for security scanning.

1. Configure the GitHub App

If the GitHub App is not yet installed for your organization:
  1. Click on the Configure GitHub App link inside the repository selection box.
  2. You will be redirected to GitHub to authorize and install the integration app for your target organization or account.
  3. Grant permissions for all repositories or select specific repositories during the GitHub authorization flow.

2. Select Repositories

Once the GitHub App is configured:
  1. Return to the Connect GitHub Repositories modal.
  2. Use the Search repositories… bar to quickly filter your available repositories.
  3. Check the boxes next to the repositories you wish to enable for monitoring.

3. Complete Integration

  • Click the Connect button at the bottom right to complete the setup and start monitoring your repositories.
